Battery storage subsidies in 2026
In some cases support is available for a battery with solar PV. The conditions change more often than the technology, which is why we always check them against the call that is currently open, not last year's article.
Family houses: New Green Savings
The New Green Savings programme (Nová zelená úsporám) supports PV for family houses and, with it, battery storage. Support is calculated from PV output and battery capacity and has caps, amounts and conditions change between calls. The owner or co-owner of the house applies.

Businesses: calls open from time to time
For businesses, storage has been supported from the Modernisation Fund (RES+ calls) and from the OP TAK operational programme. These calls have fixed deadlines and limited budgets and tend to be oversubscribed quickly. Outside an open call a subsidy cannot be counted on, and the project must make sense without it.
We follow current calls. When one is open, we let you know and prepare the design to meet its technical conditions.
Apartment buildings
Apartment buildings can draw support for PV and storage under the current programmes for residential buildings. Conditions differ by applicant type and whether the project is combined with another renovation of the building. Financing and support options will be part of the document for the owners' meeting.
What to watch out for
- do not start the work before the call conditions allow it, some programmes do not support retroactively
- check whether the programme supports a battery for existing PV or only a new set-up
- document the technical parameters the call requires (capacity, power, cell type, certification)
- expect the subsidy to be paid only after completion and settlement

Does the subsidy apply to an added battery?
It depends on the specific call. Some programmes support only new PV with a battery, others also additions. We check it for your case.
Where do I find the current conditions?
On the websites of the State Environmental Fund (New Green Savings, Modernisation Fund) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (OP TAK). We are happy to go through them with you.
