Battery storage designed around your consumption

A battery for the solar system you already have, home storage with new PV, BESS for business and solutions for apartment buildings. We size capacity from data, not by rule of thumb, and install and connect it anywhere in the Czech Republic.

Who we design batteries for

Every case starts somewhere else. With existing PV the inverter is key, with a business it is the load profile, with an apartment building it is the owners' agreement.

A battery for the solar you already have

Many houses have PV from 2022 and 2023 without a battery and sell their surplus for a fraction of what they pay for electricity in the evening. An added battery stores the midday surplus for the evening. We check the inverter first, then design the capacity and the connection.

Home battery storage

Storage for a family house, with new PV or as an add-on. Typically 5 to 15 kWh depending on consumption, heat pump, electric car and whether you want backup during power cuts.

BESS for business

Battery storage for a company shaves consumption peaks, helps lower the reserved capacity, stores output from your own PV and keeps critical circuits running during outages. We design it from 15-minute load data.

Apartment buildings

Shared PV with a battery for an apartment building: common areas, lift and pumps, energy sharing to flats via the Czech electricity data centre (EDC). We prepare the documents for the owners' meeting.

How many kWh do you need

Move the annual consumption and the output of your PV. The estimate is indicative and shows the order of magnitude. The actual design is based on your real data.

How we design a battery

  1. Consumption data

Together we download hourly or 15-minute data from the grid operator portal and look at when you actually draw electricity.

  2. Inverter and board check

From photos of the labels we check what can be connected to your PV and whether the board can take backup or new protection.

  3. Design and proposal

You get the capacity, power, battery type, wiring diagram and an itemised budget. No obligation.

  4. Installation, inspection, connection

Installation, electrical inspection, grid operator application and control setup. After start-up we show you how to monitor the battery.

What affects the price of a battery

We do not publish a price list, because two batteries with the same capacity can differ by tens of percent depending on what surrounds them. The main factors are:

  • capacity in kWh and charge and discharge power in kW
  • whether the existing inverter is enough or a hybrid or additional battery inverter is needed
  • backup during outages and changes to the distribution board
  • distance between battery, board and inverter, cable routes
  • battery chemistry and warranty terms (LFP, number of cycles, remaining capacity)
  • control: dynamic tariff, EV charging, heat pump
  • for businesses and apartment buildings, design documentation and fire safety

Questions we get asked

Can I add a battery to the solar system I already have?

Usually yes. It depends on the inverter: a hybrid inverter can typically take a battery directly, a standard grid inverter gets an AC-coupled battery system next to it. From the inverter label and model we can tell you which route makes sense before anything is ordered.

How big a battery do I need?

Capacity is sized by how much electricity you use in the evening and at night and by the output of your PV system. The calculator above gives a rough figure, the actual design is based on hourly or 15-minute consumption data from your distribution operator.

Will the battery work during a power cut?

Only if the system is designed for it. Backup mode needs an inverter with a backup function and separate backup circuits in the distribution board. If you want backup, say so at the start, it affects the inverter choice and the wiring.

How long does a battery last?

Current lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries are rated by manufacturers for thousands of charge cycles and usually come with a 10-year warranty with guaranteed remaining capacity. Exact terms depend on the manufacturer, we list them in the proposal.

Do you work outside Prague?

Yes, across the whole Czech Republic. We design remotely from your data and install and connect the system with vetted regional partners with electrical qualifications.

Do I have to notify the grid operator?

Yes, connecting storage to the grid is notified to the distribution system operator and for PV with a battery the documentation of the generating plant changes as well. We prepare the application and documents as part of the job.

Send us your consumption, we will design the battery

Phone and e-mail are enough to start. We reply within 24 hours on working days, ask for the data we need and send a proposal with the capacity, inverter compatibility and installation steps. Free of charge and without obligation. Prefer to talk? 775 654 443
